Environmental Initiatives
Astra Tech manages and effectively monitors air and water-borne emissions. We invest substantial resources in preventative measures to protect the environment. Currently our highest priorities are in the areas of solvents, sterilisation methods and our choice of materials. For example, our urinary catheter LoFric® Plus is the successful result of one of our environmental initiatives. LoFric® Plus is made of PEBA, a PVC-free polymer completely free of chlorine and softeners. In addition to its excellent environment qualities, the plastic also has a very positive effect on both the catheter’s surface layer and function. Concern, ethics and high standards ensure the long-term, sustainable progress and expansion of our company.
