Abutments and components of 3.5 & 4.0 diameter implants have changed and cannot be used with implants, abutments or components purchased before 1st October 2006.
Existing inventory of large implant-abutment connection abutments and components can be used with all 4.5 and 5.0 diameter implants. However, the measuring system has been changed for Healing Abutments, Direct Abutments, Abutment ST, UniAbutments, Angled Abutments & Ball Abutments. All abutments are now measured from the implant level.
For handling of the restorative procedure, you will need the following instruments and components to adapt to the new implant-abutment connection sizes:
