This is a problem that is caused by brain damage such as a brain tumour, hydrocephalus or stroke. Symptoms are:
- Involuntary contraction of the bladder, leading to incontinence
- Inability to urinate at will
- Trouble maintaining pressure in the bladder muscle in order to empty it completely
- It does not affect the coordination of the bladder and urethra
