Divisional Director: Urology

Head Office based - Stonehouse, Gloucestershire



An exciting opportunity exists within our urology division!

We are actively seeking to employ an enthusiastic and results-focused Divisional Director to head up our Urology Team. This is a challenging, rewarding and highly prestigious role. Your key task will be to develop and implement our urology division’s strategic plan to improve its performance and contribution, through increased productivity, quality and yield.

This position is based at our modern offices and UK distribution centre, which is situated on the Stroudwater Business Park in Stonehouse, a five minute drive from junction 13 of the M5.

Reporting to our Managing Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • The profitability and P&L performance of our urology range of products at national level; setting, allocating and maintaining promotional budgets & sales targets as appropriate
  • Achieving national sales targets & marketing objectives
  • Directly managing the activities of urology sales and marketing managers to fully implement promotional plans & achieve set sales targets & marketing objectives within specified costs
  • Establishing strong leadership, motivation and a style of management to encourage individual and team performance
  • Actively participating with Senior Management cross-functionally
  • Maintaining & developing business-critical Direct Delivery Prescription Service, Key Accounts, major wholesalers, corporate bodies & relationships with Key Opinion Leaders

The Individual

An effective, influential and motivational manager, you will possess an in-depth knowledge of all sales & marketing activities with the ability to display a demonstrable track record of sales & marketing success in your career. You will have a significant managerial track record and be able to recognise and effectively handle problem situations.

You will be able to demonstrate strong strategy sales performance and sales management experience ideally from a Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Healthcare environment. Experienced in developing and delivering against sales strategy with the ability to seize new business opportunities, you will also have the gravitas to influence at a senior level. Strong communication skills and business acumen alongside the ability to drive performance through leadership to achieve high quality results will be part of your adaptive management style that helps you build solid relationships across internal and external customer networks.

To be successful you will need to be an innovative clear thinker who can demonstrate real success at identifying and acting on key business performance issues; introducing innovative practices and processes where necessary and have a significant experience of staff management. Your IT literacy and numeracy skills will be first class and you may have previous experience of using a CRM system.
